Default Any good HD DVD deals up in Canada?

Has anyone noticed any good HD DVD software and hardware deals in Canada? Going to go check my BB at lunch time and see. If I'm really bored I'll go check FS as well.

Heh, was in my local FS yesterday and inquired when HD-DVDs were going to be on clearence, guy said never, why would they? <shows that guys interest in his job lol) Then I walked away saying "see ya when they go ons ale/clearence in a few weeks...or a month" lol

But no, I have yet to see any clearences on HD-DVDs at least on the east coast. I ahve checked FS, BB, and walmart. Non of them have dropped prices on movies yet.

...but ironically 5min after laughing at the FS guy, I saw their HD-DVD Toshiba player that was $189 last week now costing $99.
So the ripple effect is slowly starting to come to Canada.

Wrong forum guys.

Canadian Firesale Watch

Hardware deals exist, and prospects for software have been identified.

My local HMV was out-to-lunch too, "there will probably be sales around Christmas".

london drugs is the most knowledgable out of the bunch and probably one of best stores in terms of customer service and availability (from my experience)
they told me movies are usually sold by the studios and so far they have heard no word of reducing prices. Said as soon as 1 studio makes the call they rest will follow. He predicts 30% off all discs then 75% off the remaining stock. Stock thereafter will just be sent back to the studios.

bestbuy rep answered my question with the exact question i asked him "the're going on clearance?" lol tool
