Default Barnes and Noble 50% off HD DVD's

Barnes and Noble is offering 50% off HD DVD's at their online site. Some good deals to be had on there and free shipping for orders over $25. Hope it helps someone out!

On a side note:

I received a gift card for B&N over the holidays.

Unfortunately, I was informed by B&N, that I cannot use the giftcard on their website. Only in the store.

Which sucks, so I called around, and only 1 store around me carries Blu Ray or HD DVD.

And this one store only had 8 movies.

And they were at full list, which means $29.99 for catalog titles and $39.99 for new titles.

WHAT A JOKE.

So many coordinated HD-DVD sales at the same time. Was this the PRG's doing, or coincidence? And no BD sales on. Hmm.

Hopefully this spurs on a BD bogo soon.

That 25% coupon only works for one item (but the 5% off + free shipping is good for all items in the purchase). Add in tax for the states where they are incorporated and the price rises a little. Not too shabby!

I had been looking for a deal on Miami Vice as this was one title that never appeared on a BOGO or sale list. Most locations (on line and in store) had it for about $32.95. Amazon was the cheapest at $27.95 I just bought it with this Barnes and Noble deal for $13.99. Used the 5% off and the coupon code for another 25% off. Not bad!
