This would have been a good move in Oct/Nov last year. Now that Warner has abandoned HD DVD and the A3 is readily available in the $130 range, this new MSRP still seems too high.

Microsoft could've helped hd dvd with a price cut to $129.99 to start quarter 4 2007.
Why would anyone buy the add-on over a hd dvd standalone now? |

If they want 1080p but don't care about audio... And long term they don't plan on watching movies anyway or else they would buy a blu ray player.
