Not unless the Zune has an equally robust Zune App Marketplace being prepared.

Release date - 9/15.

While the screen is not HD (who needs HD when it's that small anyways), the OLED looks to be nicer than the iPod screens so I don't see it as being "the iPod Touch of 2007". I love my Zune 80 and use it every day. The Zune software is so much better than iTunes. I can't stand using it with my iPhone.

I had the 30 GB Zune, then upgraded to the 80 so until they come out with a 64 GB or higher version of this, I'll be sticking with my 80.

I'm sure they have a semi-robust app marketplace in the works, but equally robust won't happen.

I had Apple iPods for years. Actually they drive me crazy. I download zero content from the iTunes store except an occasional podcast. But I have to use that software to load/remove content. That's a pain in the azz when all of my videos are not on my Macbook because of space, but on a NAS. Then, often, I get exclamation points pop up and content grayed out. It can be frustration if you don't play with it every day. I use iTunes maybe once a month to change around some video. It really is not that intuitive if you don't connect yourself at the hip with the iTunes store. Microsoft, Creative labs? Drag and drop. Hard to argue that simplicity for those comfortable with that. Some want the nice interface and the store, a certain amount of hand holding, etc. That's cool. But I think this Zune may take me away from my iPod classic that's beginning to get strange, and skip the touch. I'll have a look when it's released.

I am very interested in getting one but I can't justify spending well over $200 on an mp3 player that is only 32GB. I am going to wait for a 80GB or higher.

The Zune pass is great, the Ipod is so overrated I get sick of it.

I don't know. While I have never owned a Zune, from what I know I wouldn't trade my ipod touch for it. Listening to music and watching video is barely half of what I do on it. The apps take up the rest of the time. I have a comic reader that use a lot, podcasts, and various games. Also, with the new update I have bluetooth which will be nice for bluetooth headphones when running and working out (cords drive me fucking nuts at the gym).

Zune HD in action. This one shows a small part of the Internet on it.
I love how easy it is to get to certain artists and how the info changes on the screen depending on who you're currently looking at.

I can't wait till these are available in Canada. I hope its not a 1yr+ wait like the original Zunes. And bring us the Marketplace ffs! MS would have a little more success and much more 3rd-party support if they fully released the Zune outside of the US.

While I love my Zune 16 and 4, I know I'm missing out on a lot of features by living 45min north of the border.
