I remember the first... Devils Advocate and the current last Notorious (1946).

Mostly buy classics now that won't see Blu-ray for a long time.

Same Here... I've gone out of my way to avoid DVD's as much as possible and instead try to wait for the Blu, but there are some that I simply can't ignore. (Horror movies particularly) Especially when I see a deal... IE Best Buys current promotion, I got Night of the Living Dead and Phantasm for 4.99 each.

I know what you mean, I'll never buy a new release on DVD or a favorite catalogue on DVD or anything like that if the Blu is on the way. But I still don't mind DVD, although HDM is in a whole different league.. world.

When i first got into to DVD it was just buy every movie I like so I have a diverse collection. After HD DVD and Blu, it's only the classics.

No more DVD's in color for me. Strictly B&W. Just picked up King Kong (1933) and Mr. Smith goes to Washington. Finally found some decent prices on those titles. They were always in the mid-$20's or more, but found them for $15.

Unlike many, I'll never totally get rid of my DVD collection. I just have to many. Sure I'll replace my favorites, but I just can't see all of them.

I picked up Hellraiser (20th Anniversary edition) yesterday only to check here and find that it's a release-date-pending Blu title.

Drats.

Oh well, can't beat $8.

Picked up Spellbound, Notorious the other day.

They are both new, remastered DVD releases, with excellent pictures.

Also the original Dracula and Frankenstein (1931) in Costco, new DVD also. $15.99, not cheap as DVD's go. But the nice editions and picture make up for it.

I just hope these new remastered editions aren't one's gearing up for the Blu releases.

Just picked up the Lone Wolf and Cub boxset the other day for $120. I just don't see these coming to BD, though I can always hope.

The one thing that will probably keep DVD crucial to my existence for years to come is TV shows. There just don't seem to be that many on or headed to Blu-ray, at least not complete series.

In particular, I'm wanting to grab the complete series sets of X-Files and The West Wing.

Picked up "Seraphim Falls" with Pierce Bronsan & Liam Neeson today for $5 bucks. Pretty cool flick.. is that out on Blu?
