Capacitance Electronic Disc
I could have bought a box full of these discs at a flea market over a year ago... check them out... this is intresting...

I know the CED format very well, and what a failed format it was. Those were the days.

it is just weird looking at them... they stopped making thme in 86... when i was 2... so i dont have much memory of them... my rents had a top loading vhs deck though and the neighbor had beta and vhs to copy between the two...

Cool. Good old CED. I tried to find some of these on Ebay. They had some weird dongles and the Hobbit comic if I remember right. The Hobbit cartoon movie is/was the thing why I'd like/d to get one of those players.

I still have a couple of functioning Selectavision decks. That's one of the reasons I don't care about the format war. Thanks to the miracles of eBay (and years ago, AV classifieds), there will never be a time that we can't purchase a functioning player...of any variety.
