Here are the movies they have out, at least the ones I recognize:

16 Blocks
21 Grams
Alexander
Alpha Dog
Apocalypto
Babel
Black Sheep
Blade Trinity
Bridge to Terabithia
The Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect 2
The Constant Gardener
Crank
Final Destination 3
Gosford Park
Hoodwinked
Hostage
I Heart Huckabees
Lord of War
Lucky Number Slevin
Match Point
Miss Potter
Monster-in-Law
Paparazzi
Passion of the Christ
Pulp Fiction
Reefer Madness
Saw II
Saw III
Scary Movie 2
Sleepy Hollow
Spy Kids
Step Up
The Descent
The Hitcher
The Queen
Valiant
We Were Soldiers

Not bad for a new format. I just dont see this format taking off in the US without any support from studios in the US.

the problem, as someone pointed out already, is that all those titles you mentioned ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^aren't available to the US yet. The only available movies to the US are "Bollywood" movies, so I don't think it has a snowball's chance in hell right now of going anywhere in the US. It's pretty confusing really. Basically there is region coding being implemented from what I have read. So no "Pulp Fiction" or others people have heard of for the US at this time.

According to this link there is no region coding on HD VMD but they leave the option open for them to add it later.

http://www.nmeinc.com/HD%20VMD%20Pro...ring%20faq.htm

That is the company who makes the players right?
That link is horrible, you have to highlight the text to read it.

but with no "real" movies in US stores this format would never stand a chance.

Well, look on the bright side. If HD DVD dies, and Sony kills Blu-ray like they've doen with every other proprietary format... At least we'll have a contingency plan for high def movies!

Also, I want Pulp Fiction and Hoodwinked in high def! ...And VMD is the only format that have them. That could be a great marketing campaign. VMD - The only high def disc format with Pulp Fiction and Hoodwinked!

Do Yankees speak another language than all other English speaking countries?

You can order all movies out of the worldwide NME store so US citiziens can even enjoy English,Swedish,Australian,Canadian,German etc. movies.

Not true. Register and only titles that are available to be shipped to the US will appear. Not all of the titles can be shipped into the US.

This seems to be something need on all HDVMD threads so I'll post it again...

I think what people are missing is that these releases are regional. MNE is not authorized to sell the majority of these movies in the US. To see a list of movies MNE can sell in the US, log into an account on MNE's website.

I do think with the invention of ebay and global markets, there will be no problem getting all the HD VMD movies in the gray market, but then you wonder about what the dialects and options will be and makes me think of the issues with import HD DVD's.

Here are the list of all US available HD VMD's:

Quote:
Chalte Chalte
Cutting Room
Dhadkan
Dor
I See You
Josh
Kaho Naa Pyar Hai
Kandukondain Kandukondain
Koyla
Mother Ghost
Paheli
Pammal K Sambantham
Panchathanthiram
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
Refuge of Last Resort
The Enigma with a Stigma
Alaipayuthey
