Default Need help picking a TV

My old DLP is giving up the ghost for the third time and I'm tired of throwing money at it. Normally I'd like to do research myself, but I'm finding that I'm hitting a brick wall with the attributes that are really important to me. So, hopefully, those who follow TVs really well can help me out.

My #1 requirement is a matte screen. A glossy screen is a deal-breaker. Even the models with anti-reflective coating don't cut it. I have a very bright room and I'm not going to change that. The difficulty I have is that most sellers don't bother to identify which are glossy and which are matte.

#2 requirement, and related to #1, is that the TV has to be capable of getting fairly bright.

Nice-to-have-but-NOT-required are:
Ability to accept PAL signals
Frame interpolation (smooth motion or whatever they call it)
Very black blacks
Netflix streaming
ATSC tuner

Looking for 40"-50" size, 1080p, with mid-range quality and price. I don't like the cheap stuff and I can't afford the top range stuff.

I don't mind older models provided they are available new and meet my requirements. I can definitely can wait till holiday or superbowl sales.
