Default Stick with my Onkyo 806, or upgrade to the 876?

To make a long story short, I used to own an 805, and when it crapped out, Circuit City at the time replaced it with a brand new 806. I miss the power the 805 had...should I upgrade to the 876? I have seen it new for as low as $888....

If you think it's a good deal and have the money then why not? I also have an 806 and I am very happy with it, but I upgraded from a 605, so I haven't really heard anything better. Provided you need another reciever or can sell you 806 for a good price then I don't see any reasons not to upgrade.

The 805 and 806 are rated for the exact same power(130W per channnel) Curious as to why you think you need more power?

I personally think the 806/876 receivers are similar enough that dishing out $888 to change would be a waste of money. But it's tough to provide advice because whether that upgrade is worth nearly $900 or not is up to you and your wallet.
