    interesting idea, though honestly I think centralized solutions is where everything is going. Just a lot better than having a bunch of independant dvrs in your house, or only one dvr.

    Best Buy won't be telling J6P that it can't do OnDemand and you'll need an adapter for SDV. Thats assuming they can get the cablecard working which they'll neglect to tell them that costs $40 to install.

    It has several on demand options, just not with your cable company... Netflix for instance is a excellent cost effective option, or you could do Unbox. TWC is finally getting TA's out there, they seem to work pretty well at this point. Trust me when I tell you, it's all worth it to have a tivo instead of some POS cable co DVR.

    I already have a DVR and enough great crappy stations on cable. This is Non-hard copy promotion. If I can't get my BDs; it's a step down to this and 99% of the public theatres
