It's nice to see that more companies are getting into the LED LCD market. Let the lowered prices begin!

I am happy to see that Sharp is looking into the LED LCD tech. I will be in the market for a new TV and was actually considering the Samsung LEDs. I currently own a Sharp and have been nothing but satisfied with the performance and quality of the unit. This news gives me another option. Bravo, Sharp.

Good news, just wish they were available in larger sizes. There's no way I could go lower than 58" nowadays.

Depends what sort of LED lighting it uses. Backlit with lots of areas for local dimming is good but sidelighting to make the TV slimmer isn't worth it really.

I'm with you there. But LCD? Give me a break! The future is LED!
