Please: say what you will but no more Sarah Palin references. Never wanna see Caribou Barbie's face ever ever ever again.

After watching Monday Night Football on my new Vizio set it's hard to imagine a better picture. Absolutely no motion blur on a 47" 120hz set and the color is spot on. Very bright whites, dark blacks. They make low end, low performing sets like everyone else -- but the XVT model I have looks damn good.
I think "lipstick on a pig" has been around a lot longer than Sarah Palin. I think mentioning her in this forum would lead down the slippery slope of political discussion that is clearly banned.

I have a Vizio in my bedroom and think it is a great set.

Honestly, their newer sets have gotten considerably better. In particular the VO and XVT lines I believe. An indication is that the reviews on these sets have been very postive and the price points are closer to the "name" brands. Another indication of their change would be Black Friday, for the last couple of years you had major price dropping on their good lines. Thus far this Black Friday all they have is a low line TV for 100 bucks price reduction. No one is going to say they are a top of the line Sony or Pioneer. But if you compare their mid level TV's to other mid level TV's within their price brackets, you cant reasonably call them a piece of shit anymore. If you want to take about quality control, after all the recent trouble Ive had with expensive equipment..I've learned just to pick up any major items from Sams's Club or Costco regardless of the brand.
