May I be the first to suggest dropping bose entirly? lol, sorry it does happen alot here, though not with out good cause. For the price, there's just so many better options than what they give you. I might sell those used on ebay and put it towards a nice Polk setup, perhaps based around monitor 50's? You should hear a huge improvement.

I would recommend it as fire wood. I got one free with the purchase of some other speakers. If you say you like bass, this would not be the place to look.

You can get a Velodyne VX10 on Amazon for about $200

Actually it's on sale for $138 Dunno what it would be like trying to order outside the US though.

What I meant by that is this sub isn't very powerful and doesn't even get below 25Hz. It would be OK for a smaller room to fill in for smaller speakers, but don't expect it to yield a lot of low end.

I would highly recommend something different. My fiances parents have the PSW10 and it does not compare to my Infinity Entra sub at all. Mine is clearer, definatly goes lower, and Im not 100% sure on overall loudness but mine goes plenty loud.

Im not saying buy an Infinity for sure, Im just saying I wouldnt buy the Polk.

i had this sub in the basement in a cheap 5.1 setup, not chest pounding bass but it works ok. i would not recomend it for main listening system. i have seen some good deals on Velodyne subs at EBAY.

I had a PSW-10 and it is a very poor subwoofer. I would look elsewhere. Not sure what your budget is, but I would go internet direct with an Elemental Designs, HSU, AV-123, etc sub. If your budget is real tight look at a Dayton sub from Parts Express.

I just have to say Im glad to see everyone agrees with me that this sub is sub-par. I wasnt 100% sure if it was just their setup, their sony reciever (which shouldnt matter since its got its own amp) or what but I do not like this at all even tho I do generally enjoy polk speakers.
