Default a problem with the onkyo 606

It's not really a problem with it, but it's somewhat of an annoyance. It seems that when I play the PS3 on there, every time the receiver recognizes a different signal, it turns off and then on. For example, say i put in a blu-ray movie, it loads up, and then the FBI warning screens pop, it turns off and it says "direct" on the receiver and it just says "PCM" for the audio, as opposed to "Multi CH PCM" as it should be. Ok, so it does that every time it goes through that and previews. But when I start the movie, it works fine and without a hitch. It doesn't turn itself off and "switch" signals. It displays "Multi CH PCM" like it should. Did I mess with something that makes it do that when it recognizes different audio/video signals?

The receiver is switching between direct stereo mode for the 2 channel PCM during the FBI warning, then to Multichannel PCM mode for the surround PCM during the movie. To stop it, you can do this: modify the PS3 audio settings to only send out 2 channel PCM (temporarily), and while in this mode press "Surround" on the receiver remote so it applies PLII, then put your PS3 audio settings back.
