Is the bright light your flash or sunlight? Can the BD-1400 accept analog for lossless? If so I would do that and keep the receiver for a while. Samsung has some nice looking equipment. My only other recommendation would be to switch to DirecTV for Sunday Ticket because that set is dying for a little football on the weekends. Good looking set-up.

4 out of 10. Need a new blu-ray player and the amp is lacking. Nice TV. Get a Harmony remote.

The BD-P1400 does have 5.1 analoge outpupts, so if the OP needs to save some money he can use those and stick with his AVR... Note, I'd still recommend getting an Onkyo 606 (now ~$350 on amazon) as the BD-P1400 can't internally decode DTS-HD/MA.

My main question is did you just pick up that BD-P1400? Can you return it? If so do your self a favor and exchange it either for a Sony S350 or Sammy BD-P1500. You'll be much happier, both players seriously out perform the 1400, additionally the 1400 can some times drop picture/audio depending upon your HT configuration.

I do like the Sammy TOC TV's though, they look sweet and I love the "touch buttons" on the glass face of the TV. I'd also recommend making sure you don't have any direct light sources pointing at the TV though.

Edit:
Oh and that last picture of your remotes speaks for it's self, buy a Harmony

Can we get more pics of the speaker setup? I love the Klipsch/Samsung combo, though.

I got this Blu-ray player for $300 back in december of last year(no need for profile 1.1 or 2.0 I already have a PS3), my TV is new though. I wouldn't downgrade to a cheap receiver like onkyo even if it has fancy lossless audio=no way. If Im going to replace it, I would go for a Denon or Yamaha. Also the glare is from a camera flash.

Eitherway, an upgraded AVR is highly recommended. I guess since you can't return the BD-P1400 I'd hold on to that till the holiday shopping season, there should be some good deals on better replacements aroud that time.

And yeah, get a harmony

Besides the load times, Im okay with my blu-ray player. I see no problems with it whatsoever(must be from the latest firmware). If I need to watch the pip I just go to my PS3.

You wouldn't have any problems with an Onkyo. Onkyo's are very solid and definitely the best bang for the buck. I'd put my 805 up to a Yamaha any day of the week.

7/10 from me. Great, fantastic TV, good speakers, but you need a Harmony, a PS3(or BD30/50 or Sony S350), and a new AVR. Onkyo has very well reviewed equipment. Not that Denon or Yamaha are bad choices. They're great choices. But Onkyo is a great choice as well.

Check out the new Denon 1909, it is going to be my next receiver. Lossless audio, Faroudja DCDi video processing and not a bad price.

Then why don't you use the PS3 for movies all the time and sell the 1400 on ebay, take the cash and buy a harmony remote or upgrade that amp. I'm not sure why your trash talking Onkyo....yet...own a Denon.
