Default Costco TV Exchange??

So I remember hearing that you cuold bring the TV you bought from Costco back within a year and receive the money you paid for it to buy another tv? It is really true or what?

Just curious if anyone has done this with Costco before...Wouldn't mind trading mine in for a 47" Viz .

i believe this policy was changed some time back so dirtballs couldn't abuse the system and do hardware refreshes on their PC's every year.

found it on costco's site

And yearly refreshes on their TVs. It used to be a lifetime return policy, which was great if you had anything that ever broke. Too bad there were those who took advantage.

I want someone to run something where you can bring in a CRT and get credit towards an HD. Step my 27" bedroom tv to a 32" lcd would be great.

There was a place around here, I don't remember which one, offering $100 credit towards a new TV for anyone who brought in any old TV.

If you bought your tv before April 2007 from costco, then you were "grand-fathered" into the old return policy - the lifetime return.

Do you have a Sam's Club near you? They still have the lifetime return policy on all their electronics including their TV's.

Sam's will only give you your money back up to one year later on their tvs. They do give you everything you paid including tax for one full year as long as the tv is in working order. I know this because I have done it twice, they knew i was upgrading each time to a better tv. The great thing is they don't care. I just wasn't satisfied until I got a Kuro.
