Default good customer service

is nice when you get it.

The optical inputs on my preamp stopped working all of a sudden. Seems odd that it would happen but who knows. So I called up Lexicon and since my unit is still under warranty they are going to swap my unit out with a brand new one. This means I won't have to wait while it gets repaired. So kudos to Lexicon for that and I just thought I would fill you guys in on one of the good manufacturers out there.

There are a few CE's that take this approch... I can't speak for sony but for instance I know that in the case of both Microsoft and Nintendo (for game consoles) if you end up having to send in the unit they'll swap it out for a new one regardless...

They send you a different refirbished console, NOT a new one.

They send you a refurbished console with the same warrentee you had on your new one... And in the case of the MS RROD warrentee beleive it or not your warrentee resets from the date you receive your new console....

So in this case, "reburbished" isn't a detractor in the least little bit.
