I'll try my best to answer the questions....I actually feel humble cos my setup ain't pro at all, to me.....I only had a $2k max budget, from PJ to speakers to paint so I kinda went the affordable way. Luv my VP4001 PJ though....
The center stand is here (its always slanted a little to help angle the speaker):
http://www.racksandstands.com/asp/sh...fid=FR1-VI1046
My room is kinda like rectangular ...approx 12X 25 feet. Sitting distance/PJ mount is 12 feet away from the screen. Since mine is 720p, I still little amount of SDE on extremely bright backgrounds but only IF I look for it....my wife and guests have never complained and instead comment on the ''why is this better than the local theater!"
Some more shots that I've posted on AVSforum (BR and gaming shots)....
Enjoy

My main seating area is about 18 feet from the screen. Right now I just have two couches and a recliner. I was thinking about getting some theater seating and getting some darker carpet put it but with recent economic conditions the way they are I've decided to hold off on any major purchases and save my money right now. There were a few more upgrades I wanted to do but they will just have to wait for now.

Do you watch TV with your projector?
A question for the projector folk:
In my opinion, some TV shows beg for the ultra big screen.
I watch Heroes, CSI Miami. CSI New York, and True Blood.
What about you?
Do you watch TV on your really big screen?
and if so, What do you watch? My Theater:

I only watch Heroes right now - use to watch Battlestar Galactica, Deadwood, and Masters of Horror, but those are gone now.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash.
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

I do all my watching on my big screen. Anything from 24, Lost to Howard Stern to the Presidential Debates to Sports. Everything is better with Surround Sound and a Big Screen! Seriously, I tried the plasma thing for awhile and it doesn't come close.

My wife and I regularly watch True Blood and Entourage on the big screen.
I watch Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Survivor (since she doesn't like those shows I watch them by myself).
Of course we are both really looking forward to the returns of 24 and Lost!
And of course the majority of my viewing is sports.JVC RS1x w/ a 118" 16x9 screen
