Stuck pixle in plasma
I just got the Kuro 5080. I see 2 dots on either side of the screen. Can plasma get dead/stuck pixles like LCD? Is there anything I can do?

First we need to know if they are stuck or dead. Dead pixels will be black and stuck pixels will be stuck one color(red/green/yellow/blue) usually red. If they are dead(black) there is nothing you can do. Often places will take them back if there are 2 or more pixels. Some companies will even take it back if there is one. If it is stuck there are a few things you can try.

I have this set and fortunately haven't had that issue yet. I've read threads at www.avsforum regarding steps to take when stuck pixel issues arise, so seek info there.
The good news is that in all likelihood this problem will resolve itself with time so I would certainly not try to get warranty help yet.

This is what worked on my LCD computer monitor.
What is a pixel massage?
A pixel massage is a technique that can sometimes fix stuck pixels. To perform a pixel massage follow these steps:
Turn off the screen.
Apply moisture to a tightly woven cloth (so not to scratch the screen).
Using a single finger behind the cloth, apply pressure to the area where the stuck pixel lies.
While still applying pressure turn the screen back on.
Remove the pressure and the stuck pixel should be gone.
WARNING: Touching the screen is not recommended - you may create more stuck pixels or even dead pixels! JScreenFix is the recommended technique and should be attempted before a pixel massage.Hitachi 55" LCD projection TV
