anybody has the H/K avr 247?

just wondering if you can get LPCM thru HDMI or LPCM/Dolby trueHD via analog connections? Im planning to get a PS3 soon for a blu ray player, will i get LPCM if I connect it via HDMI, reason im askin this is because the PS3 has HDMI 1.3 while the receiver only has 1.2 I believe.

To the best of my knowledge the 247 is able to accept multichannel PCM over HDMI. In that event it would match up fine with a PS3, as the PS3 will handle all of the decoding and send it to the H/K as PCM. As far as the analog connections you mentioned, the PS3 will only have stereo analog out, so assuming you are using more than 2 speakers this would not be an ideal connection for you.

(some may argue you will be missing DTS-HD MA with the PS3 but I imagine an update will come when actually needed)
