Well most of you will mock me, but I am a broke grad student and can't actually affoard fancy televisions, high def formats and the like. I am just on the forum becasue I like the economics of the format war.

Anyways, I recently got a new computer...an HP media center.

My girlfriend and I alwasy just watch movies and TV shows on the computer (cough cough) not being able to affoard a nice television but I do have a nice 22 inch monitor.

Anyways, I just wanted to comment that if you have a remote and connect your computer up to the TV input and display it through the 22 inch (or a TV that you connect via component or svideo) it is actually a very very nice interface and works super quick and speedy with the remote. Windows downloads all the informations for the TV/radio etc from the internet and so you get many of the feature of digital cable with just plugging in the analogue wire my landlord gets. Also the ability to pause, rewind, record is awesome (especially for hockey games and recording when I am not arround)

Anyways I am sure this is of little consequence to most of you but if you know someone wanting a cheap solution for their multimedia I have to say this could be it.

Also I plan to get a bluray recorder when they come way down in price
