VIDEO: Insignia 32" 16:9 Flat-Tube CRT (Doesn't sound like much, but it'll do 1080p.)
AUDIO1: Sony STR-DE589 (6.1 at 90w per channel. Two optical inputs, one non-working coax. Doesn't sound like much, but it was on sale for $150, and I count that a deal for a 6.1.)
AUDIO2: Frankenstien speaker setup, including a Sony Center Channel that was priced at $30, down from $105 in a clearance sale, a 5 piece JBL setup that should have been $200 but got open-box for $80. Well, um... Actually "no-box." They were wrapped in bubble wrap and held together with tape. BUT they sound great. And an Insignia subwoofer left over from my old system. Doesn't sound like much, and isn't. :P
GAME SYSTEMS: PS3 (for the blu-ray and games), Wii, N64, SNES, NES, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Atari 2600 (240p, ye-ah! [or is it less?]). -

So I have to have something original to say about every setup? I'm not that creative. I like to see other setups so I like this thread and also check out the threads in sound and vision and home theater web sites. I get a chance to look at a lot of home theaters. My opinion? More is not always better. Every theater looks good when the lights are off and the movie starts. For some that is enough and I have nothing bad to say about people who feel that way. I, on the other hand, prefer a cleaner, more balanced look. When someone has a flatscreen mounted without the cables showing, a couple of floor speakers that are at reference height, a few well chosen components on a small rack that complements the look of the speakers AND the flatscreen, to me that is understated elegance. When I see it I have to say something. I saw in your system and I saw it in his.

When I see another theater that moves me the way yours did I will probably say it again. Like I said, I'm not that creative.

I can't say enough about everyone's HT. Very well done, I've been hesitant to show mine, as it is a work in progress and still progressing.
But here it is.. It is an older Pany HD projector, hung up using makeshift materials.. actally and monitor stand hung upside down.. my screen is a 120" so name screen, I made the chevron for it out of floor molding and jig sawed it in. Just to give it a fun look I guess.. I'm going to try to post pics here.. a challenge for me..

see if that works.. -
