Will UK region DVDs work in US DVD or highdef players?
Just curious. I know hd-dvds are "region-free" but there is a dvd (sunshine) that has been released in the UK that is not yet available in the US. (the movie was released in the UK about 4 months before the US). I'm wondering if my xbox 360 hd-dvd add-on player or ps3 blu-ray player would be able to play this UK disc.

Nope. DVD has something like 7 regions, Blu-ray has 3 and HD DVD has 2 (The world and China).

It wont work. but you can :
1) play it on your PC (DVD-ROM)
2) From the program "DVDShrink" you can make it region free then burn it. Im not totally sure but I think it will work. -

If you buy certain dvd players that play pal discs ,with a few minutes of googling you can find a code you punch into your remote to make it region free.
Otherwise you have to use a dvd copy program that removes the region coding to copy it and then use a program like nero vision to change from pal to ntsc. -

Nero Re-Encode is what you need buddy. You take any region and make it another!
