Ouch! To call Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio "legacy" formats makes me feel so old. Have they really been around that long?

Can anyone decipher the actual number of channels that the STR-DN1080 has? I have a 9 speaker setup, so looking for something that can actually drive 9 speakers (7.1.2, per Atmos page https://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/do...-2-setups.html). I don't want some fake "Phantom" sound. The rear pics show 7.1, but is has two more connections for Zone 2. http://www.sony.com/electronics/av-receivers/str-dn1080.

This sounds like it is a 7.2 receiver. They claim it will create a Phantom Setup of 7.2 if you only own a 5.2 setup. Nothing ever beats the real thing but I have heard some pretty impressive environmental audio setups with less speakers.
