Wow, it looks too high perched up on its stand. That'd make me nervous and wonder when it might come crashing down, $25k and all. :/

It's a very nice set, but the lack of 4K content to view on it at the present time will be useless, and a total waste of money right now, especially for $25.000. Eventually the price will drastically reduce years later, like any other new electronics on the market. You can't buy nor rent 4K resolution movies, and there are no channels that broadcast in 4K either, but that won't deter the early adopters, who always want the latest and the greatest of everything, regardless the lack of 4K content to utilize it. The early adopters will run out and buy it anyway, so they can say they have a 4K television.

    A $25,000 84" 4K LCD . . . that is edge lit. A pig with lipstick.

There are two methods of backligting an LCD panel. Edge Lit and Local Dimming. Edge Lit is the older and cheaper tech. Not what I would expect to see on a $25,000 brand new 4K LCD TV.
