Thanks Badger. Just the weekend.....although I ALMOST bought it for good. Manager offered to take $200 off PLUS throw in 2 years of Black tie protection (extended warranty). Told her I was not ready to purchase this for good at this time and explained to her I needed to see it first in action and then save more $$ up to do it decent justice. She gave me the discount anyway!! Regular price (with tax) $1,703.99. I got it for $1,490.99. She said she will offer the same deal to me come Black Friday (the day I plan on buying it for good...if I like what I see in the next couple of days) and work with me on other purchases I plan on making that day: new iPad, Harmon sound bar, 2 theater chairs, a few blu-rays, some PS3 games....ALL CASH BABY!!! My motto: Save now, spend later. Later is the last week of November all the way thru December.

CHANGED MY MIND!! I AM KEEPING THIS BAD BOY,lol. Man..was I floored when the first image came to light. However, the compromise of keeping this is....it's still a Christmas gift so I have repackaged the projector up, sealed it, put a black POTC flag over it so I or anyone else cant see it, and stored it away til I reopen it (maybe it will be a very early Christmas gift say around Thanksgiving, lol).
Now the hard part...now that I have seen what I have been missing with projectors...the wait is GOING TO KILL ME,lol!! My 55'' Sony 3D tv just seems puny now, lol. I taped and measured the screen image: 122'' of total bliss. Projector is about 12' 10'' away from image and I am sitting about 8'6'' away from the image.
My so called ''buying the projector strictly for demo purposes and I am returning it back on Sunday'' idea really BLEW UP IN MY FACE BIG TIME
lol. Oh well...live and learn. Very happy with this purchase. AWESOME!

I'm not ready for projection yet. It's a major investment and I'm just not there yet. Perhaps in a few years. I'm going to gradually get things done over time. Mainly, carpeting, wall color, and having cabling routed to my specs. I want A/V wall plates.
What projector did you get? I'm envious of those with one. -

Epson 3010... But I returned it yesterday. Changed my mind and decided that the purchase was just to see how well it would work in my dwelling. It's going to be a Christmas gift for the kids and I to enjoy (but come on....you already know who this is REALLY for, lol). I will rebuy it around Thanksgiving.

Just grabbed the Energy CC-10 center channel for my gaming PC. It was 1/2 price, down to $200 so I simply had to bite. Back to proper 5.1 gaming on the PC!

Picked up a Denon 1913 from DIYMicro for $447. Needed something with 3D passthrough to go with the 55 inch VT50 I bought back in July.
