Receiver problems (audio cutting out at sound spikes)
Hey all. I have a pretty old receiver now at this point, an Onkyo tx-sr605. It's almost 5 years old. It's never given me problems until recently. Last night I was watching a movie, at my normal volume of 50 (listen to most things at this level since I've had the setup) but now when there's an explosion, someone yells loud, a crash, a screech - the receiver shuts off.
Any ideas? Is it straight just getting to the point it will crap out? What else could cause this? It usually only happens when watching movies and only started about 2 weeks ago but last night it happened like 10 times throughout the movie.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
