I am sure that the surveys done in furniture stores will disagree with this findings.
I will be shocked if a survey sponsored by a tech company will result in the couch being what their respondents wanted.

Makes sense, I set up my home theater with a new 55in LG LED and an Onkyo Home Theater system, and I've got a rocking video game banana seat. Who needs a couch?

My home theater is in a dedicated room. My living room has no TV (or projector). Its for entertaining people or socializing. I don't think I could stand the distraction of a television in there.
