    Less compression, better audio articulation.

I got 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'LOTR EE' Trilogy, & 'Avatar 3D' (without the Panny TV).

I dont know, I am pretty satisfied with the performance of the standard audio, I can heard a lot of things extras that I can not in its dvds editions. Give some examples.

Stay with the Standard audio then.

    * Best is for you to use your own set of ears, in your own room, and with your own gear.
Then you decide for yourself, and nobody else for you.

Look, I am going to share some info with you pal:

In optical, it does not matter the brand of the HT, all of them sounds equal for me, not a audible diference between a Sony vs a Yamaha with its default speakers.

I dont know if its the same for the HD Theaters.

    1. I'm not your pal! For you I am the Lord!

    2. I just now realized that you are using the digital Optical (Toslink) connection for your Audio.
...Then it don't matter the rest.

    3. HD Theaters? You mean commercial Cinema venues?
Then it's all over the map as some are state-of-the-art (very few though; and mostly around Hollywood, USA, and IMAX Theaters of course), and others are despicable in their overall audio and picture quality!

    * Eventually you'll upgrade to HDMI, and then you'll see and hear High Def Res in all its glory.
...Right at home! ...High Def Theater in the comfort of your own Home.

Look pal I still had my doubts, I heard people SAID that a good DTS its a match for a DTS HD MA in some movies, and even DVDs with sampling rate of 96 Hz are fare better than HD codecs.

I won't argue with you because me too I believe that dts is good enough for most people.

And 96 kHz is better than 48 kHz (uncompressed).

Instead of still selling us Hd audio codecs, the companys could upgrade the audio to 96 KHz, right?

Takes more space and cost more money though... I think.
