Thanks!
I auditioned some speakers today and I think I'm leaning towards the Studio 60s ($1690/pair iirc) or 100s ($2500/pair).
I'm using a Denon 4810CI in my 17x13 room that is dedicated for movies and video games so I'm wondering if the Studio 100s are worth the extra expense for my use.
I also sampled the CC-590 ($900) but not the CC-690 which is a monster but might be worth it....
Also I plan to get a HSU VTF-2 or 3 with these. -

Dude that theater room is looking GREAT! I'm unsure how I missed those last few updates, but that room has really come together.

Also, while I certainly understand you havent had much of a chance to sit in those seats - are they comfortable? Would they be comfortable for a 2-3 hour sit? They look very plush. I'm definitely in the market for good HT seating

One issue I've had with mounting my projector into the ceiling has been that eventually the drywall screws do start to pull out of the paper thin piece of shit drywall they put in our ceiling, which leads me to believe that I should go the extra distance and cut it out and put a piece of board behind it in order to provide a sturdier surface to screw the mount into.
However, I'm scared to death of cutting up dry wall, and if I were to do it I would also want to put a socket in the ceiling to plug the projector into and also run the HDMI cable across the ceiling to where my receiver is. That's way more drywall and painting work than I'm willing to take on myself, so hopefully eventually I can find someone who knows how to do this sort of thing. The nerd is a tirelessly predictable creature whom the promise of boobies is like a bacon sandwich to a starving wolf. - Yahtzee

If you do decided to add a socket to your ceiling and you are prepared to call out a contractor to do it, I do recommend that the socket is star connected right back to the board with it's own circuit breaker/fuse. Some crazy contractors would have no problem tapping a spur from your lighting circuit if it will get the job done quicker.
