I just dropped by my local Frys and noticed the conspicuous absence of Mitsubishi DLPs. When I inquired about it, I was told "we're no longer carrying that type of set." When I inquired again, this time to a manager, he said that Mitsubishi was getting out of the DLP market. I replied that the situation is the exact opposite. Just now checked and confirmed my understanding that Mitsubishi is in fact ramping up their DLP business.

Considering the value per screen size and excellent, ghosting-free 3D, I think DLPs are still a worthwhile alternative to LCDs/LEDs and plasmas.

Does anybody know if all the Frys stores are dropping DLP sets?
