Default Yamaha's New Home Theater Systems Are Actually Pretty Impressive

For HTiBs, the 7.1 channel YHT-893 and 5.1 channel YHT-693 bring a lot to the table.

Receivers look nice, but I wonder how crap those speakers are.

Yamaha and Onkyo speakers are big step up from many HTiB set-ups. Active sub, 6 ohm speakers with okay specs. You could do worse, but it is usually easy to do better.

Didn't know that about Yamaha. I knew Onkyo was pretty decent though.

Yamaha's HTiB tend to be pretty decent.
