HAHA!!! I knew this would happen! Just a gut feeling. LOL Somehow I knew the Halo movie wouldn't be playable on the 360 (in HD anyways). Wow... the irony. Then again, that is if Fox also maintains distribution rights. WHo knows MS may hang on to those for themselves (you nenver know)... Either way, theres no way this movie can suck, not with Peter Jackson at the helm (kinda). Glad to see it's back on track.

I'm not going to quote, becuase I want people to actually READ ARTICLES here for once, but both of these say these aren't for the movie. The movie is still in total limbo.Blu-ray's: 234

Hilarious
Still, I think the movie will flop and badly. The source material is terrible; Halo simply has a crappy, generic storyline to begin with and adapting it to the big screen will probably only make it worst.
There have been almost no good game to movie translations and the only "successful' video game franchise box-office wise, resident evil, is mostly panned by critics despite its slightly above average success. -

This is not for the movie. These are only for merchandise rights surrounding the franchise, specifically Halo 3. Hell, the title of the first article says it all.Blu-ray's: 234

Yeah, theres sooooo much original stuff out these days.
Everythings a remake anymore. Halo's setting and overall "feel" was unique in its own right. Yes the basic story has been done 1000 times, and it sure aint gonna win any oscars, but if done properly, it'll be a nice action/sci-fi flick.
Most video game movies are made by the likes of Uwe Boll. This one has Peter Jackson involved in a major way. If it sucks I'll be the first to burn it at the stake."Whos the more foolish: The fool, or the fool who follows him?" - General Kenobi

I'm sure even if Fox does maintain exclusive Blu-Ray rights to Halo, Xbox Live will have it for download as well. Plus, that's not to say that people won't be able to import an HD DVD version if it's released by another distributor in certain parts of the world.
Plus, I'm thinking the format war might even be history by the time this comes out
