Wow, I can see some folks like Taffy, Lee Stewart, and Mikemorel jumping on this one in a big way! Look at all those free catalog movies! And, best of all, it's not Blu-Ray!

I love how the player is almost exactly like a HD-DVD player!

Oh dear. I can see much moistness from a few holdouts over this spectacular announcement. Bet they are all checking their credit card balances now to see if they can afford to take the plunge. For around $500 the haters can have faux BD with 8 movies (that are readily available now in Blu for around $10 - $15 each), plus a handful of crap Chinese movies (Mei Ling does Mongolia and Me So Horny II are hopefully included).

You are not aware (obviously) that these CBHD players use 220V and thus don't work in the USA. UK = 220V. Damn! I hate when I have to educate on a very basic fact.

Awww, come on now. They are just misunderstood. I mean, really, you gotta love a country that has 18 year old olympic athletes who still have their baby teeth, no respect for human rights, frequently poisons their people with chemicals and other shit in their food supply (and has no problems exporting that shit too), and invades Tibet and eliminates any freedoms those people had. What's a little CBHD in the grand scheme of things?

Guess you never heard of power converters? Been around for ages.

As far as your "educating" someone, all I can say is I guess you were that one child left behind

Oh gee. Got me there.

Guess you didn't read the link. Any dipshit with an IQ over 2 and who bothers to open the link will see it right there.

Are any Format War Central readers thinking of getting their hands on a CBHD player? The only issue you might come across if the availability of films, although according to the video if the players are a success they may look into expanding their offerings. The players should work fine in Europe although converters might be needed for other parts of the world. If anyone knows of other CBHD import stores feel free to link to them in the comments section below.

Umm. You can buy a converter for that for under $20.

Come on Lee, don't let that stop you.. So how many orders are you going to place? 2? 3? Give them to family members as gifts for the holidays? I can just imagine the looks on their faces when they open up their CBHD player on Christmas morning

These remind me of something Moe would get from Fat Elvis and try to flog around the Square.
