Default Will you buy TF2 in light of the crappy reviews???

So...let's hear it. How many of you out there are going to actually PURCHASE to own TF2 which as expected got quite shitty reviews, but delivers in action as a whole?

I'm going to watch it in the theatre and decide...only because I want to find out how the transfer is.

If it's reference quality, I'm going to get it to show off the BD player/home theatre to other people.

The 1st movie got raked over the coals in the first week of reviews as well. Reviews mean SHIT to me. I'll make my decision after I see it tomorrow night.

I don't expect much from TF2, still considering whether or not I'll buy it... on the one hand I have the first movie on HD DVD, so i guess it's nice to have the whole set. On the other I fully expect this movie to suck.

I definitely don't ever let critics reviews determine my purchasing. The only review that matters when it comes to buying or heck, even renting a movie is my own.

I'm not expecting freaken Shakespeare I'm expecting giant robots blowing shit up with some bits of comic relief thrown in from Micheal Bay. ....and eye candy ....and sound effects...

No matter what it will be better in my home theater on a wall sized screen with my audio than at the theater.

Make sure it's a real IMAX theater and not one of their new Digital IMAX theaters:

The Link Didn't work. How would I know? I've been going to this one for years, (at least 5) and every title I've seen on it is amazing. Still I'd like to know if what your saying is what I'm seeing.

Both links seem to work fine - the link to the thread and the link to the list.

Which IMAX theater do you attend?

Saw it earlier today, and honestly, I don't know what all the crap is about. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Going back tonight and taking my son.

Michael Bay Talks Transformers 2 Blu-ray

Quote:
Posted June 24, 2009 10:47 AM by Juan Calonge

Michael Bay has already intimated some details about the Blu-ray edition of 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'. It's going to have "lots of stuff" and is being produced by "Ridley Scott's DVD guy" – in other words, the extraordinary Charlie de Lauzirika. Bay also confirmed that the BD version will have variable aspect ratio for the scenes shot in IMAX, like 'The Dark Knight' did.

"We're going to do a special IMAX SKU," said Bay, "where it'll open up for those scenes. You can see top to bottom."
