I said the same thing about Transformers . . .

Until I saw it on sale for $2 as an HD DVD.

Yeah. Like I said, it'll end up there somehow.........I bet one of my family members will buy it for me as a Christmas gift thinking I'll love it, when in reality, I thought it was pretty bad. Oh well, the ending sequence and forest battle should be drool worthy on Blu.

(I mean I could go to the IMAX right? But there's no way I'm spending 15 bucks per ticket on this junk)

I liked the first one and thought this one was probably just as good. Definitely getting the blu ray even if was just for the sound.

Well, I'm seeing in it in the theater...so I'll make my decision from that. But...I loved the first one, despite mediocre reviews. Hard to believe I won't at least like this one.

Maybe I can save you some $

Early Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Reviews

Best to start about 4 or 5 pages from the end.

This movie will be eye and ear candy even if it is not brain candy. I will see it in theaters with my 5 year old and then the movie will have to earn me NOT buying it. If either me or my son enjoys the film I will end up with it. Yes, I'll let the movie decide for itself, but this one is almost guaranteed to end up in my library.

I just read Roger Ebert's review of TF2 and I quote, "It's a car! It's a robot! It's 2 1/2 hours of hell!" and this was the title of his review. He also added, "Desperate to get a pounding headache? Then this is your movie." Hey...but so what? Right! Movie goers that would ordinarily read his reviews probably had no intention of seeing this movie anyway, and those that just can't wait to see it are probably thrilled that it has even less story (if that was ever possible) to make room for more boom...boom...BOOM!
Hmmmmmmm...small wonder that my interests have turned from the big screen to the small screen.
During much of my generation, the TF2 equivalent among younger movie goers were the Star Wars/Indiana Jones films that were generating the BIG BUCKS and influenced other film makers. <sigh> Those were the days.

Meh, there are worse BD purchases than this one, for sure
Sometimes you just wanna lay off watching The Godfather for the 10th time and just lay back watching eye candy for 2 1/2 hours. I'm not a lemming to rely on a stranger's critical opinion for my own purchases

when they suddenly start supporting alternative/lesser formats when his preferred HDM format lost

Right, let's see what the general public thinks okay?

5731 vs 13...
I think the film will be entertaining in light of whatever negative comments the critics can say.

15k -> 6.9/10

Not too bad...

A 6.9 is not that great, and it's dropped from 7.9 to 6.9 since its release in the US. Think about it this way, Spider-Man 3 had a 6.8 during its initial week of release. However, I think general audience response is positive.

Perhaps but 40 percent of the respondents here have already decided that they will be buying the movie regardless.

Let's keep this in perspective. Most people going to see this movie are planning to see something without much of a plot or expect a complicated and over reaching one, very minimal acting, lots of action, robots fighting, nice tits and ass, and some nerdy comedy by shia...

So in this case, I think the film delivers magnificiently. Now if you came to this movie with the idea of it being like Benjamin Button, you got some problems.

Day 1, but I'm a big TF fan.

While not as good as the first, I still enjoyed this one a lot.
