I've read that Blu-ray talk before and it all winds up being just that - talk. Remember The Mummy 3? The Incredible Hulk? Twilight? They like to talk up the potential Blu-ray but never deliver.

Which IMAX theater do you attend?
Now the link works after making a liar out of me. Thanks for your help on this Lee, but since I'm in Canada the list/map doesn't show my theater. But I was able to learn a lot from the site and I'm pretty sure that I have the real deal as my screen completely fills my field of sight, its a huge screen.

Now the only thing I'm not 100% on is the Omnimax. Is that a literal dome? If that's the case then no this one is your run of the mill kick ass IMAX.

Yes - Omnimax is the dome presentation of real IMAX which is 15 perf 70mm hortizontal. Just shot with a fish eye lens.

IMAX has introduced Digital IMAX theaters that use Christie 2K DLP projectors on much smaller screens. They are in regular movie theater multiplex's. They are called IMAX theaters but they aren't IMAX.

I never realised that before I started to read into the links you gave me. That sucks big time. Why go to IMAX if it isn't massive and overwhelming?

I went to the midnight screening and got what I expected only with a bit more cheese. It is going to sound awesome on blu-ray for sure. I can't wait to see it at home.

Even the mild-to-severe disappointments like Spiderman 3 or the two Pirates sequels were still fun to watch on BD (great sound). Pirates 3 still doesn't make any sense to me, and deserves every bit of criticism it gets, but there are still some thrilling sequences to watch and hear.

So I'll probably pick up Transformers 2 anyways - assuming it will deliver on the PQ/AQ of course.

I'm going to watch it in the theatre and decide...only because I want to find out how the transfer is.

If it's reference quality, I'm going to get it to show off the BD player/home theatre to other people.
Will I buy TF2 in light of the crappy reviews???
Absolutely!!!! I always look for the movies with the WORST possible reviews to purchase so I can show off my dedicated HT room/equipment to my friends.

Taffy, why don't you man it up and say what you really mean?

Like, why would you buy a shitty movie to show off your hidef theater?

Is that what you're trying to say? Are you TRYING to make it sound stupid with your ?

You're in the fucking hi def forum buddy people own MULTIPLE copies of movies i.e. 5th element to see the eye-candy of some of these action films.

Get a fucking clue. The movie doesn't need to have good reviews to be entertaining. I already know it's a movie that my daughter wants to have in our collection.

Next time you _TRY_ to make a sarcastic remark, can you PLEASE try to think it through? That's all I've been asking from you from day 1. The crap that you post repeatedly misses it's mark because it's based on faulty thinking.

Work on it. Everyone and myself would really appreciate it.

Oh in case you missed it, you've been smacked the fuck down.

GG.

If i bought movies based on critics reviews I'd have a very small collection without most of my favorite movies.

Normal people reviews are much more important to me and TF2 is looking pretty decent at 68% on the rotten tomatoes community, I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow.

Didn't have to try very hard. The whole mind set behind this thread is stupid. Imagine...a huge segment of the post teen younger male population buying a title devoid of story because they like flying toys with attitude problems. Would this make a great cartoon for kids??? Sure, like Mighty Mouse when I was a child. Is this even eye candy?? I guess, if you like CGI shots that look like video games. Me....give me HD programs like "Whale Wars" or Samantha Brown over on the Travel HD channel. Now THAT'S eye candy.

Oh I see, so basically, what you're TRYING to say is the thread I started was stupid? Got it. Interesting concept.

Because the movie in _YOUR_ opinion is devoid of story and is about flying toys?

Come on - of course that's what the movie is about -> transformers some fly - some don't -> yes they are/were toys -> yes transformers was/is a cartoon as well. Is it going to be devoid of story? Of course. Hence my point, who is still going to purchase this film. AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE, there are A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WILL.

And if you still don't have your glasses on, you will also notice that there are other people who wouldn't. Hence, how the FUCK is my thread stupid?

Give me a break man. I _ASKED_ you to think...please do so. It's the least you can do for all of us here before we read your gibberish.

LASTLY:

"Is this even eye candy?" Have you seen the previews?

Are you just talking out of your ass because you got smacked down so hard you can't figure out what just happened?

Not to mention that a lot of the ANIMATION's(many with CGI) in general are considered REFERENCE QUALITY BD's...

But then I guess I don't expect someone who touts that 1080i broadcast ota sat as good enough to understand the term reference quality.

SIT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111111

Transformers is Transformers.

Its not going to be ANY different than the first one.

Just more of the same.

If you didn't like part 1, DON'T see part 2, please, just don't.

If you liked part 1, I will 100% guarantee you will also like part 2.

Its that simple folks.
