Default "Red White and Blu-ray"

I was listening to Mike Church, a conservative talk show host on Sirius Satellite Radio, this morning and when he introduced himself he made the comment of being in the country of the Red, White and Blu-ray (He normally says hes the leader of the Red, White and Dude Nation).

I just thought it was interesting to hear Blu-ray being inserted into casual lingo, maybe it is becoming a household word these days?

the BDA paid him five grand to slip that in in a seemingly casual manner.

okay so maybe not five grand, but if i were a radio talkshow host, i'd be all over the endorsements. remember, blu-ray is not a charity... and radio stations don't operate for free.

Whatever it was, Toshiba would have gotten more satisfaction from letting the Joker burn it instead.

lol...

it's only my speculation, folks. i can't say with certainty that people are getting paid, but radio talkshow hosts, personalities, etc. endorse and get paid for it. that's not to say that they don't really like the products they're endorsing. and it's not to say that the exchange is monetary if there is one. but you guys are living in a strawberry shortcake dreamworld if you think celebrities don't get paid to endorse products.

But what's really gonna cook your noodle is the fact that they don't get paid every single time they mention a product... celebrities also have opinions on things, just like you, mike and Lee do... doesn't mean they get paid for what they say every single time... unless you three actually DO/DID get paid, in which case the argument just got a lot more interesting...

No doubt. I seriously doubt celebrities get paid everytime they are seen in public or on TV with their iPod or iPhone.

Although they may not have to pay for said iPod or iPhone (unlike the rest of us). There is some irony in highly visible, wealthy people getting product for free while the rest of us poor schmoes pay.
