price=quality (obviously not necessarily always true)? In this case, price=more features. Duh.

No, because when you've been getting new releases all along, wait times seem to be shorter or insignificant

While it would be a better experience on my PS3 than my HD DVD. I've read they haven't improved the transfer which was ok, but could have used improvement.

Batman Begins is the #1 seller on Amazon right now for movies (including DVD sales)

Not bad for a catalog title....

It is the exact same encode as the HD DVD. Did you not read the reviews?

I didn't think it looked as good as the reviews have said.

I thought it looked soft and the skin tones were a bit too hot.

Look at the Dark Knight footage made for the Blu-ray - it looks totally flawless.

I would have rather had a new encode for the Blu-ray for Batman Begins. I love finally having it on Blu - but I must admit I am a bit let down. Maybe the reviews from this site built up the pic too much for me.

    You got:
    1) Non-obsolescence
    2) Scratch protection
    3) The first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight in HD

If you got the giftset you obviously get all that exclusive material as well.

I agree with this except 2) which doesn't mean squat since scratches still happen. Better wording is better scratch resistance
