"One of the things you see in the NPD data for this fourth quarter was that even with a $100 [price] premium, Blu-ray set tops outsold HD set tops in December. Even with Toshiba having the lowest-cost player in the market, software sales remained 2 to 1 in favor of Blu-ray." -

I still have my HD DVD version of Batman Begins, and like gluasad, I have watched it about half a dozen times in the last year or so. I will eventually sell it and get the Blu-Ray version, but I can wait.
But I am very excited for Dark Knight on Blu... Probably my most anticipated title of the year as long as they do not botch it.. -

I will be picking up the sequel on bluray, however no need to double dip on the original. I already own a high def version on HD DVD.

If I had the HD DVD, I wouldnt either. Its not like it could go out of print. It will likely get released 3 times on BD in total!

I actually had the HD DVD bought from a Best Buy BTGO in January but when the news of Warner's switch came out, I intelligently returned it without looking back.
Now I'll get it on Blu and enjoy it for years to come.

Well I guess I'll just throw in that this is one of the first HD DVD's I picked up and quite honestly I have no real plans to switch it out for a blu version. Why would I since it doesn't add anything to the experience?
