The MythDVD Book "Phoenix Plan"
The phoenix bird symbolizes immortality, resurrection and life after death. In ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology, it is associated with the sun god.
According to the Greeks, the bird lives in Arabia, near a cool well. Every morning at dawn, the sun god would stop his chariot to listen to the bird sing a beautiful song while it bathed in the well.
Only one phoenix exists at a time. When the bird felt its death was near, every 500 to 1,461 years, it would build a nest of aromatic wood and set it on fire. The bird then was consumed by the flames.
A new phoenix sprang forth from the pyre. It embalmed the ashes of its predecessor in an egg of myrrh and flew with it to Heliopolis, "city of the sun," where the egg was deposited on the altar of the sun god. In Egypt, it was usually depicted as a heron, but in the classic literature as a peacock or an eagle.

LOL! mike, tell me, do you post this because you think HD DVD will come back and that the war isn't over, or is it you do know HD DVD isn't coming back but pretend it is and just do it to try to piss off Blu fans? Tell me how a troll thinks.

The only troll I see here is you. If you look carefully at this thread - Mike has posted 6 times and every single post has contained nothing but factual information. He isn't discussing it - he did ask a couple of questions though
So If I look at your post . . . well it is easy to tell you have an agenda . . . your personal feelings about the subject . . . and nothing else.
Just a personal attack on a member . . . nothing else. -

Lee, a post from YOU saying I have an agenda is kind of laughable. I am in favor of Blu, that is well known. mikemorel discussing something more than an open posting in a thread is rare, as you probably know, so I too am surprised by the fact that he has several posts in this particular thread. However, his own record of posting anything and everything that could be considered flamebait is well known. I am surprised a moderator hasn't shut down this as just another thread about HD DVD/DVD 2.0.
And don't preach to me, Lee. You, of all people. It is well known you lie in about things in these threads (or as you have called it with a smile, "exaggerated"), something I never do in these forums. -

Really? I thought the original post is quite interesting. Frankly I'd assumed that HD DVD would more or less drop off the discussion table in the DVD forum and related companies, its really strange that its even getting any consideration.
I certainly don't agree with Mike all the time... well, probably very rarely in fact. But this seems like a legitimite item for discussion. -

And they said HD DVD was a finished format, lol ... how can it be finished if it's still allegedly under development?
