Absolutely with the Spider-Man flicks. There's very obvious cgi in both of the films, and HD transfers would point that out even more. It's something I've been thinking about on and off for a while, but never felt like bringing up cause I didn't want to start a fight with any offended blu fans.

Anyone know where you can buy some HD DVD porn? I'm curious to see what titles they'll have for sale. They have to be with some flawless actresses.

i always though kong looked fake, even in the theatres. I didnt like that film because the CGI to me looked bad. I wouldnt own the movie if it didnt come with the HD DVD Drive

Golem should hold up nicely since he's the CGI standard.

Some of what has been posted here is also something that has been a growing concern of mine for HD movies, especially with the release of older movies in the future. The dark flipside of the amazing PQ we get is that it will also expose flaws such as those posted here, such as the CGI, older special effects, and even the pimply porn detail that was so eloquently pointed out a few posts ago. For example, I know Jaws was great and will sell alot, but I am almost afraid to see what the shark will look like in HD. I bet it concerns Spielberg and Lucas. Would it be better to "soften" PQ in some parts to hide these things, or let them stand as is? This isn't a rail against either format, just a question. There are some older movies that I can't wait to be released, but in the back of my mind I keep hearing "Be careful what you wish for..."
I think the new movies going forward will be taking these things into account, but it will be tough to change the past, unless you alter it, which brings up a whole new set of issues. I am not a techie, and may be off base, so I will defer to those who know more than I. -

Totally agree with you. I have been a little bothered by the big push to CGI, and also felt like parts of Kong, Spiderman I-II, Hulk, LOTR, were a little cartooonish in some parts in the theaters and on DVD. Kong in HD definitely looks even more cartoonish. I guess this is the trade-off we will have with HD. At any rate, I think CGI will continue to evolve. I am very excited to see what the Pixar movies look like in HD...
