never heard of the movie anyway... oh well... i'm kinda bugged out about the be movie being canceled from paramount (excuse the pun)... oh well... guess we have to wait for them either on demand or on blu-ray... i'm hoping for on demand... i have a lot of HD DVDs (and even a couple blu-rays) to watch still... went on a shopping spree and have a lot still in shrink wrap and i don't feel like buying any more movies till i finish the ones i have gotten on special.

With this announcement and 'Things We Lost In The Fire' being the last Paramount release, I think someone's having a laugh.

Good. The less you give HD DVD owners the better. Cut the cord. I wish WB would adopt this policy.

It seems Universal cared less about American Gangster's number 1 than some forum members did.

The sooner they stop making HD DVD's the better. Then the supporters will go quietly into the night and we can focus on one single format. No anger. Just so tired of all this fighting.

I agree. A catalog release of "End of Days" would have worked too but "Atonment" has a nice 'we really screwed up but we are moving on' feel to it.

I bet there were plenty of laughs going around the sales dept for this one. Whew, they actually bought them. That was close. Now get the extended cut, lossless blus ready. Pronto.

True. Well, I guess if you have to expect any organization to have a taste for theatrical gestures, it'd be a movie studio...

Titanic would work too... except unlike these movies, that one will sell...

We have 1 format. WB releasing for a few more months isn't hurting anyone. Certainly no one new is buying into the format. So just relax and don't worry about WB. They're making a few people happy for a few months, why should that bother you?

I do hope so, I was going to pick it up on HD DVD but found out that it didn't come with a TrueHD track and it only contains the theatrical cut of the movie, so I'll just wait till the BD version comes out.

Warner ends with a "Twister"?

Though didn't Warner extend their end to 3 additional weeks??
Wouldn't that have them offically stop releases til' the last week of June?

I am Not Going Blu With You Untill there are players that are full profile compatible with HD DVD playback
