    Default HD-D3 for $79 at Costco starting tomorrow

    I work at Costco and we received a wire saying the HD-D3 will be dropping $50 to $79 tomorrow. Still with 300 and Bourne in the box along with a HDMI. I have to say that is a great deal if you want to get a HD player for shits and giggles.


    I don't know if the 5 Free will be active anymore with HD DVD's demise.....

    Was there a D3? Or did you mean the A3?
    Started as an HD DVD supporter,
    Now I strongly support Blu-ray.
    Technically that means I'm Purple, but since HD DVD is dead, it doesn't really matter anymore.

    D3 is Costco's version of the A3. Its an A3 with an HDMI cable bundled in.

    yeah CC has the A3 under $100 also now.

    That's actually a decent price for an upconverter. Might get one for parents, but I'd actually like to find the guy who got the P1200 gor $93...that's an amazing deal for a reon upconverter that can play most blu-rays.

    Their website still says $139... Can anyone confirm they are selling for $79 in store?...

    Several people were able to find the BD-1200 for $93... Have you visited any Sears in your area to see if they have any left?...

    Just picked up one this afternoon so now my 360 Add-On is now my backup. Wow! All I've got to say is too bad HD-DVD lost out, my new A3 is a FAR better SD DVD upscaler than my PS3... sharper image, less artifacting... very impressive!

    I may just pony up for an A30 if I can find a good price.

    Yeah, I already have an A-35, but my upstairs TV does not even have an upconverting DVD player so maybe I should get this. $79 for a very nice upconverting player plus I can get a few bucks for the discs is worth it.

    Fortune shines, we needed a new dvd player for downstairs and picked up one of these. It was only 10.00 more than the standard dvd player and go 2 Bourne movies. It'll be my first and last HD-DVD player, but it'll do a good job of unconverting.

    Any word if the 5 movie promotion is still good? This looks like a steal for an A3 (especially w/ 5 movie promo!)
