Seen it. How does that relate to your OP? Are you admitting that this thread is just a thinly veiled attempt to say you prefer the Xbox?? In case you missed it, that belongs in another forum.
I was previously giving you the benefit of the doubt and interpreting your OP to ask if the PS3 should be taken seriously as a dedicated player to the extent that one household would have more than one. The video I posted, though old, does point out that the PS3 has more than a single function:
The PS3's built-in networking features actually make it the best possible player for multiple rooms. You could easily spend $250 just to have your home professionally wired with Ethernet, or you could just get the PS3 with built-in WiFi.What should I do first? Should I play games? Watch a Blu-ray DVD? Download content from the Online Marketplace? The answer of course is: YES, because I have 3 PS3s.
If you have an HTPC, or any computer in your home with a collection of audio, photo, or video files the PS3 is a great way to make them accessible.
Add in games, teleconferencing, web browsing, Folding@Home, Home, linux, etc...and is there any room in your house that wouldn't be better of with a PS3 than with just a "standalone" movie player? -
