Default Paramount/DreamWorks: "We are still supporting HD DVD"

Received a short but sweet statement from Paramount/DreamWorks: "We are still supporting HD DVD."

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...ng_HD_DVD/1345

They say no immediate statements regarding their stance, or Warner's move, will be forthcoming.

Any possible title HD DVD title announcements still to be made at CES are, however, up in the air.

Stay tuned...

Wow, still trying to save face, and looking pathetic and losing out on a ton of money.

Is there a 12-year old in charge over there?

Well it's not like they really have a choice right now anyways. That sack of cash guaranteed they lose the right to "choose" again this year which format to support. They could definitely "half ass" the effort though if they think losing is inevitable. Very curious about their releases being "up in the air."

Yikes.........

A little ominous, no new title announcements, a generic "we are still here" statement, and no "we will not support BR" or "we will support HD DVD exclusively".

I hate waiting. Especially when I don't even know what I am waiting for.

To be honest, it's probably all they can say. They've been barraged by media, and really, technically they are still supporting HD DVD and likely any corporate decisions either way will take a while to formulate.

As for title announcements at CES from them, I'm not holding my breath. I think the shock still hasn't set in, so they'll probably wait for the dust to settle to decide whatever it is they're gonna do...

Wait, did the BDA offer them a incentive package already? What ton of money are they missing out on?

With that, I give them two weeks until they go neutral, tops.
