That number is crazy. I'm not saying it isn't true, but it certainly seems strange.

Considering there is about 200,000 copies of Transformer HD-DVD sold, 80,000 is about 40% of the buyers.
It is only 11% of the total number of HD-DVD players (750,000) though that used it.

80.000 seems REALLY high. I wonder how they are determining "unique users"? IP addresses? Player serial numbers?

But hey, more power to web enabled features if that's what people want.

downloadable content, would that be like extra fake tan for Megan Fox, or more appropriate clothing? or can you download a better script? i'm confused.

Just more proof that HD DVD is owned primarily by tech-savvy early adopters.

No, it's only proof that %11 percent of all HD-DVD owners used the feature. I think it would be a more correct assertion that owners of either Blu or HD are tech savvy.

11% of all owners? Transformers doesn't have a 100% attach rate, so how can people who don't own the disk use the features?

Probably.

One thing to note is there is a large population of HD-DVD owners who play their movies through the 360, and I have absolutely no there's a larger percentage of add-on owners online than HD-DVD standalones. I'm sure that gamer effect helps in numbers like these.
