Warner now says that the dual-format release has moved over 400,000 units through the end of September, with Blu-ray sales continuing their 2:1 advantage over HD DVD
Hopefully they're not ignoring this advantage when they go exclusive next year

Who cares about the 'oh Blu-Ray is so great' and 'HD-DVD suck' argument over this one.
I'm just chuffed to bits that a studio has yet again proved their business savy and raked in the rewards by being neuteral. All we need now is for every other studio (including Sony) to wake up and realise the additional revenue they could be making and make us all happy.
HD-DVD buyers can then get any title they want, and same for Blu-Ray ones. Then we can all get along swimmingly.

Perhaps the other studios will pull their heads out of their asses and go neutral.

this must be that part of that new HD DVD math where losing 67:33 all year long isn't being dominated...

HD DVD and math doesn't seem to play well together...

And at some point someone is going to realize that a total of 400k units is still a niche market. Having 60% of that really isn't that big of a deal. I don't see any company making a decision over that. I agree with the original poster that all of the morons should release in both formats. I hate to bust anyones bubble, but unless on of the companies end up with 75%+ market share in the next couple of years we'll be stuck with two formats. And that's not looking very probable at the moment.

I know But I can't take the credit for it, I saw it in someone's signature on the blu-ray.com forums. Also I see that there were a couple spelling mistakes, now fixed

And the BD split on this will increase, since the HD DVD numbers will be impacted by the (uncounted) inclusion of this with every HD DVD player sold this year.
