Rumor: Best Buy only Blu-ray promotion in November

No link I'm sorry their are like 25 to 30 titles most from Disney like POTC 1&2 glad I waited to buy them. They will be on an end cap near you! I'll get 20 Blu-rays for $300.00 doubling my collection in one day.

There aren't a lot of titles that I really want, but I might accidentally buy a few just to support the effort if they do it.



With that said, I still don't see it happening.

I think this would be great if true, but I REALLY REALLY doubt it. I'm sure if Sony wants the Blu-ray to win bad enough they can do this, Panasonic also believes the format war will be over by new years eve.... This would be a definite buzz for Blu-ray, and HD DVD would be OVER.

Well of course it would be the 16th, the day Transformers release. They don't want HD DVD to get a week win.

Disney Blu goes buy one get one free this month I think on the 16th or there abouts. I heard that straight from disney at a vendor presentation in Anaheim last week.

Well, if that's true, they better start advertising. . . . or did I miss it?

Good point. They charge way too much for their discs and I have never bought an HD DVD or Blu-Ray disc from Best Buy or any other local store.

I might actually buy locally if they do this.

I would get at least one movie (with a second one free). Why not?

However, with most things on this site (in smackdown) I'll believe when I see it.

It would definately be hard to say HD DVD has a chance (to retailers/hardware/etc) if they don't at least take this week.
