yeah... it was funny to see Amazon with "Blades Of Glory" still up for pre-order on blu last night.

Interesting to see how this effects those "WAR' sites that show the Amazon data...

Yes, I just canceled my Blu-Ray pre-order for Blades and grabbed the HD DVD version. Strange, it was $1 more for the HD DVD version on Amazon and does not have a lossless track (the BD version was scheduled to). How is Paramount dropping Blu-Ray a good thing again?

Thats quite handy 3 of the 5 films listed i got on pre order for the past couple of months.

Mabye sue paramount for false advertising !!!!!!!

Well 150 mill upfront it pretty attractive.(cant blame them for taking the money)

They probably thought they wouldnt make that much in 18 months .So just hold back and release them after the contract is over.

No way are fox and disney are ever going to go neutral.

ack_bak, you better not complain too much.
The hd-dvd fanboys are ready with pitch forks riding on big trucks to attack you if you say anything remotely negative about their favourite format.

Shit, Face/Off is one my favorite films. Is it true there's a UK version still scheduled for release on Blu-Ray? I read that somewhere here.

It's true, it only serves to piss people off towards them.

I mean Blades of Glory Blu-Ray was beating the HD-DVD version of the film.

Anti-consumer indeed.

Yeah, I'm headed to Fry's right now to go see what catalog titles I have to go buy before it's too late to find them. I don't want to have an urge to watch Sleepy Hollow and have to shell out $120 or more on ebay a year from now.
